Router spin up speed when pushing start.

I have my rpm set at 10k, when using a 2" Vbit the router spins up EXTREMELY fast/loud after hitting the start button, then backs way down to the 10k.

Almost makes a vibrating sound for a second as it gets going so fast.

I noticed its not as fast or pronounced when using a 1/4" endmill

is this normal?

There is a lot more weight to spin and it will move a lot more air. Might check the brushes, blow dust out of speed control switch.
