I have been using regular inch post processor and everything is clean and smooth with circles and curves, what's the purpose of the arc post processor?

It uses GCode arcs instead of small straight lines to resolve curves. It also results in a substantially smaller SBP.

The regular inch post is easier to modify & read if you need it.

Brady, What do you mean by substantially smaller SBP?

Less lines of code & smaller file size.

Save out a toolpath (same one) using the regular inch post & one done with the arcs post. Open them up and compare. Right click on file icon in Windows and check the size on disk of each. Look at the code from doing just a profile cut on a circle...then compare a pocket cut...

Wow. thanks for the info Brady, what a difference.

No problem. You won't see much of a difference in cut quality between the two unless you are doing plastics, non-ferrous or other dense materials with curves.
