this is our first use of resin to do domes on 3mil dibond. we painted tje dibond with one shot and we also mixed the paint in the resin. these go in a lobby. i can hardly believe how nice the dome effect is.

Wow! That is trick! Great job!

How is the 'doming' done? Is it basically a paint meniscus?

If you google images for "doming" you will find this is an entire industry, mainly small doming shops who make badges, labels and tags with epoxy and polyurethane resin as well as equipment and material suppliers. Actually if somebody needs a 2-component precision piston dispensing machine for PU doming resin with nitrogen buffered tanks (new $78,000, barely used) I have one to sell.....needs major rebuild, though.

this is PB resin doming video . we used envirotex lite that we buy locally. it is interior. we apply it about the same as they show here but we use a torch about 6'' from resin to get rid of bubbles.
for the small letters we just used the mixing stick after it quit dripping we touched the small letters with it and kept doing that until done. it took about 45 minutes to do all.
