Hi, are there settings to chnage the amount of z travel when hittings page up/ down with the remote keyboard? I am useing the actual keyboard to control the x, y, z positioning around the table. When I hit page down my z moves almost 5mm in one single move. Is there a way to reduce this to steps closer to what my x and y move when hitting the arrow keys? Or can this be controled in sb3? I wuold like to reduce my x y travel as well. Is he hs a quality of the wireless keyboard?
THanks!

There probably is a way to change that in the software but why not just use the move command?
For instance if the Z is currently at 1.5 and you want to move it two thousandths down enter MZ1.498 on the keyboard and the Z will move to that position. This works for the X and Y axis also.

This has nothing to do with your keyboard or remote. There is no way to change the distance an axis will move when you 'bump' page up/dn in the settings. This is due to the packet size of data being sent to the machine.

HOWEVER...You can certainly get the tool close to where you want it to be & use the Fixed mode option in keypad to move the tool a specific distance each time you press a key. If you press the 'D' key, you can enter a distance in the textbox as your increment and each press of the keypad keys will advance the tool that distance. I believe .01 is the default on most newer versions of SB3, but you can enter in any value you want.

Hit Esc to get out of Fixed mode & Esc again to get out of keypad. This value will stay sticky until you change it.

Did you buy the remote key pad from US router tools?

If you did it seems you should be able to program a button to MZ.010 or MZ-.010 or whatever you want it to do.

Brady,
They claim it will work with Shopbot. For $95 + shipping it seems to be a good deal I bought one but I have not used it yet. They say you can program each button to make a set of commands up to a certain amount of characters I can't remember the number.
