Tina and I got back from the Indiana Artist Market. Things are really picking up. All the shows that we have done this year are showing that the economy is picking up.

Retail we did over $1,000.00 per day.
Wholesale not sure as of yet, Still getting orders in.

We recieved notice right before we left for the show that We got the contract with the large Beer Company to make product for them. First round order on product is for 150 of the item.

Got to meet one of the shopbotters son, showed him what we had done on our new square system. May have sold a job for the That shopbottor also. Need you to contact me at eking1953@yahoo.com Job will probably take all day long on the shop bot.

We sold our Barrel tops and our wine caddy's Plus we sold out of some other product.

shopbotters there is a trend out her for barrel tops as wedding registers. easy money... They use the barrel top as the sign in register. carve a scene in the center with the names of the bride and groom finish it so the quest can sign with a sharpe.

also had a wedding place ask me to make log slices for lazy susans for wedding cakes. They want the bark left on and have a lazy susan bearing.
check with the wedding centers around your area.

actually anyone can succeed with a shop bot. all one has to do is come up with a product that sales, find the right markets and develop it. Like I said in the first post, the economy is improving and people are looking for American Made Productss. I turned down 1 job in Indiana because I was too far away to be able to deliver, I plan on passing these jobs on to another shopbotter in Indiana when that man contacts me..

One of the things I tell to the people I teach here in Ky. A product that does not move is fire wood you have to develop a produuct that will have a good price and have three price ranges. high medium and low priced. The High Range will be the slowest mover However it does move, the average sales will come out of your med range products, the low end will catch those that do not have but a few dollars to spare, if they pay to come to a show they will buy, That is one reason we only do juried shows, These are the Med range to High end buyers with a few low end buyers.

A bussines dies by two means, over pricing and under pricing, over pricing is the slow death, under pricing is the fast death, You have to find a price that pays your bills and makes you money. Sitting in your shop or warehouse is not make you money.
