I am trying to find some bits that are 6" overall length in 1/4 and smaller tips for cutting wood and plastic on my indexer. Does anyone have any recommendation of sources?

On an interesting note, I found this source of really long bits (some are 8" OAL) for ice cutting on a CNC. If you look at the videos they are running shopbots, obviously in a freezer. Perhaps some of you that live in the cold climates can expand your business ideas.

HTC end mill or ball end for something like $25 : http://www.htcmfg.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1716&search=extra+long

However....I have been using 4" max in 0.25 diameter and while it works it chatters like crazy due to the flex of the long slim bit. At 6" it can be only worse. No problem for foam, though.
