X axis proximity switch fell off

Hello all. Has anyone ever had a problem with their x axis proximity switch falling down? It appears the switch is epoxied on and mine came loose and fell down. Now I'm left wondering what to use to fasten it back on and if my x,0 will change if it isn't put back on in the exact spot it originally was. Anyone have experience with this?

Had 2 Y 18+ prox's fall off the 2 Desktop's AND relocated my Y 4 times trying to maximize(should have left it alone).
Shopbot said scrape and clean/Gel super glue back on.
IF you can "Feel" a definite spot where it seats, maybe just add a drop and spread it?
If you have to razor blade clean it, maybe a sharpie mark to help re-align?
It will now rezero to new location, so any spoilboard references may be off.
Probably get better advice for full size machine if you wait a bit, but Desktop prox are still fine with gel and it's been a year. Denatured beforehand.

No Prob....But try to get as close as you can to original.
On Desktop we have -.5" to play with for factory prox. for X,Y 0,0
.08" approx for Y before "Hard stop"in the Y and about .3"(can't remember Exactly) in the X for mine.

Had the same problem with my desktop and the gel super glue worked. Since that time I have come across Ultra High sticky tape on E Bay. I had a mirror that was glued to my windshield and it fell off. I bought some of these as small .750 square pieces. I put the mirror back on, but did not align it quite perfectly. I have since put enough force on it that am afraid that I will break it and it will not budge.

This would certainly fix the problem but if you ever need to move it be prepared to buy a new switch.
