My 3rd grade son's class is studying about Topographical maps. His teacher has asked me if I could create a small sample example of a 3D topo map for a "show and tell" kind of thing. I have been doing a bunch of reading about them and frankly I really don't have time to learn some new software as well as dig out a file from the USGS website.
I am hoping someone who has done some of this kind of "botting" might have a STL or ASPIRE file they might share for this class project.
I am thinking of something small - maybe 8x8-12x12 and relatively thin so the teacher could pass it around the class. Location is unimportant. The class is focusing on various map concepts.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
