and not a professional tool for this purpose but if need be a CNC router can make some automotive spare parts. This is an alternator belt idler pulley for my toy car made from 6061 aluminum 2" rod. Tool paths to shave down to proper height, outside diameter, inside bearing seat, bolt head recesses and bolt hole pilots. It did take some minor lathe work (on my wood lathe) for boring out the center (had a hold-down screw there) and finishing.
