I have been on line looking for some boxes to ship some items that I make on my shopbot. The sizes are 25"x25"x1.5". I was thinking since I am not having any luck finding these boxes on line, I may can just buy some sheets of cardboard and make my own boxes. I remember seeing a file SOMEWHERE to cut a box on the shopbot, but I don't remember where. Can anyone help me find this.
thanks Perry

I don't know which file you are referring to, but it should be a drag knife type process and the guys at Donek (Sean Martin, IIRC) made up a real professional drag knife... so I am guessing that they would be able to guide you on this- and sell you the drag knife. ( probably could get it through ShopBot, too???)
Search Donek on the forum, and you will see the contact info and probably the thread you are looking for

I make boxes all the time and I use a .125 end mill zero to the top and run the fold file half way through the card board the cut out the shape. bottom is made to fit item and top is made .5 bigger

i bought the drag knife and cut custom boxes all the time now. It's great, and comes with the box program file for download.

I need small fold over cardboard shipping containers for a product I produce. I was using a drag knife but it was too slow and also required good condition cardboard. Instead, I made a box cutter, which is a couple pieces of plywood with the outline of my box shape that takes razor blades inserted into slots. I bang out (literally) cut shipping containers with a rubber hammer out of scrap boxes. It works rather well. No ShopBot needed. I did use my SB to make the cutter though. It's a rather dangerous thing. Must use gloves or risk losing something important!
