I thought I had posted this but an email from someone requesting the information made me go look and I can't find it if I did post it... maybe I forgot to post it.

Anyway, I added hardened rails to my bot, here is a list of all the things I used for reference.

For my PRT Alpha 4x8 Shopbot I got the rail caps = T2 rails holes every 3". My X rails were 120" and my Y rails were 68"

Thanks Robert,

I called Rick today and emailed him my order. The hardware links that you used were a time saver. Sure looks pretty turn key.

I am also gonna add 2 rails for my 2001 PRT Z axis, add 2 extra v-rollers, and extend the rails 2" lower on the original bracket to get 2" more travel going up. I checked my Z today and looks like I got plenty of teeth on the rack to play with in both directions. (unless I am missing something else)

Anyone with an old steel rail PRT should read Rob's original upgrade thread so one day when the time comes they know the path of least resistance.
