I'm trying to v-carve and have and all the characters will not carve
Job set-up: .50 material
Lucinds Handwriting
I clipped where the letters are overlapping
Any suggestions how to fix

It would be helpful if you could post the file. One thing to check is to be sure all the letters are closed vectors.

Note that joining vectors into a closed shape is NOT the same as just grouping them together...

Convert the text to curves, then select the outside vectors of Lucida Handwriting and use 'Weld Selected Vectors' instead of the vector trim sissors.

Also, if you still have problems like with this Lucida Calligraphy the other day.
After converting to curves(suggest you do a copy and park it on separate layer or in No Man"s Land in case you make a hash of an attempt and need the font tools again), suggest you go into Node Edit mode and see if the problem letters have overlapping nodes. Select one of the offending nodes and press "d" to delete node without breaking vector.
Sorry I wasn't in Node Edit mode when I took the captures.
