I'm trying to do a simple cove crown molding. Just the dish part. I usually just cut out sheet goods so this is new to me. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I will take the time to learn it if it's already been covered. I just don't know where to look. I think it's probably a two rail sweep and I've watched the tutorial but it doesn't make sense to me. I appreciate any help.

May be simpler to open your SB control software, find the "Extruder" under the "Tools" bar. At the very bottom of the window you just opened, a shopbot logo with ? appears- click it to read the article on how to use it. Very powerful, easy tool, easy learning curve. Just pay close attention to the way you utilize VCarve Pro to generate the vector file.

Since it is a simple, fair cove cut, use the largest ball nose bit you have, which will greatly reduce the number of passes needed to produce.

Gain confidence by test cutting in some pink insulation foam board.

Shout if you get stuck.
