Andrew J Coholic.... I think this project has your name written all over it. Some kind of variation on this may be just the kind of signature piece for the next "tradeshow" that you do.... you are probably too busy to design and build a similar item- but it struck me as the kind of wonderful furniture that you might do.... so take a look at it and see if something like this is in your future....

(And any of you others that are feeling like building unique furniture for parents who are working on building up their children's reading and parent time)

Ive seen that before on Hal Taylors site. By the time I have time to make that chair, my kids wouldnt fit anymore, lol!
Id bet that would be a good 60 to 80 hours work. Based on what I spend on a single rocker (about 30 to 40).

Well, I had not seen it before. When I did, I thought of you and your talent and your young ones.... and thought I should put the idea in your head!!
Keep doing wonderful furniture!

Thanks for posting Monty. Immediately thought of Andrew(and Russell Crawford) like you did.
Hadn't ever seen his work or site before.....Next time warn me so I can have my drool bib ready like I do for Andrew's projects! :)
Dad's had to sleep sitting up for about 6 years now, and FINALLY found a Walnut bentwood rocker that the Amish gentleman used the PERFECT sized branches for the back rest for him and bought it on the spot and had another one made.
If it weren't illegal, I think he'd rip out the seat in his pick-up and install one, OR hire a chauffeur and sit in the back like "Granny" in the Beverly Hillbillys. :)
I think I may have made a mistake by e-mailing Hal's site to him.... I think his pacemaker's going to give him a jolt when he sees the prices:(
