View Full Version : Buddy in a trailer
Has any one used a buddy in a trailer and used a generator to power it? I need to make it portable.

I'm not a buddy owner but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night (not really but I've got a PRTalpha). I would think that as long as you jacked up or blocked up the trailer to minimize it shaking, i.e get it off of the suspension as much as possible, I think it would be fine. Be sure your generator really has enough power.

A few poeple have. It's a great setup for craft shows and mobile machining, but a little tricky if you need to do 4X8 sheets. Not impossible, though if you set it up correctly with outfeed rollers etc. You'll want a 6 or 7' wide trailer to do it right. Make sure that your generator is putting out clean power. A UPS between the gennie & the Bot is a good idea, as it will buffer the input pulses.
