I have a job coming up and they want to use the pink foam from one of the big box stores. I was wondering what the best glue is to use as they want 12 inch thick letters and need to stack them. Also what is the best finish for the edges as they are using a laminated front on them

I have used the pink stuff extensively. The best adhesive for foam to substrate is silicone caulk. I have tried several other adhesives and they either melt the foam or don't stick. Foam to foam should be ok using wood glue. I have not tried Gorilla Glue®.

26368They have glue for gluing eps in 'caulk' tubes. It was used for this 8 foot scale watertower.

Foam2Foam via WindLock is good. It is polyurethane based & doesn't expand much.
You can use Gorilla too, since it is also polyurethane. Polyurethane, in one form or another, will pretty much glue anything...

I use PL300 Foamboard construction adhesive in my caulking gun. Works great, holds up outside (water and weather resistant). It sticks to foam and just about anything else you want to glue the foam to... I have blue foam projects on the outside of my shop that have gone through 2 of the worst consecutive winters we've had in the UP!
