This design looks similar to the doctors (cadesus?) symbol. I saw it on ebay and the guy said it was a zodiac sign but wasn't sure.Does this look like something doctor related?

It's a common error.
The two snake design is for Mercury.
The modern use of the caduceus as a symbol of medicine became established in the United States in the late 19th and early 20th century as a result of documented mistakes, misunderstandings and confusion. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caduceus_as_a_symbol_of_medicine )

A single snake, the rod of Asclepius, is for medicine.

All true...

"Caduceus is a winged staff with two snakes wrapped around it. It was an ancient astrological symbol of commerce and is associated with the Greek god Hermes, the messenger for the gods, conductor of the dead and protector of merchants and thieves."

I've been told by one of my Dr. friends the winged staff with the snake comes from the flying medical group from WW2. It was a symbol painted on their aircraft. It's become almost an established Icon and seldom recognized for it's beginning.
