Hi Guy's,

Having spoken with Diane at ShopBot, she informs me that Porter Cable no longer make a 240v 50Hz router for customers in the UK.

I thought I might be able to run a 110v version by stepping down the voltage but due to the frequency difference (60Hz v 50Hz) this wont be possible.

What other makes of router are available in the UK for fitment to the shopBot and where would I be best purchasing them from.

you could use the stock router mount for the Porter cable and make a shim for what ever else you find that will work.

Nolan,

What type of work do you intend to do on the Buddy ?

Erik,

The problem in the UK is there is only one round body router, which is a small Bosch.

Might not be too hard to make a mount from wood, then use the wood mount to mill one from Aluminum...sort of a one time wood mount to make your final aluminum one.
