View Full Version : mini audio recorder/player for a plaque?

I had this idea for this retirement plaque for our police chief as a replica of his badge and i'd like to have some sort of small cheap recording/playback device similar to those greeting cards that use a small chip that when you open it it plays a recording.

I wanted something that i could insert into this and had about 2 minutes of playback to play this recording from Paul Harvey:

Has anyone done anything like this?

The Build a Bear Workshop in the malls have a small recordable device that they put in the palm of their bears. That might be a start.

I have used this https://www.radioshack.com/products/9v-recording-module?variant=5717581701 from Radio Shack several times. There are also instructables to hack it.
