Ok, this may be a stupid question. Should you go through a cool down cycle routine if the spindle has been dormant for a few hours.
If the spindle hasn't been running I don't think a cool down is necessary.
In general, after a full day of cutting plywood, I will let my spindle cool for about 20 minutes before I turn power off. If I've been running it on a large carving (say 12 hours non stop), I will let the spindle cool for about 30 minutes before shutting the power off.
