I've been asked to cut some details on the end of some knee braces
The material is 5" thick.I have a prt alpha so is 5" possible?
I have machined both sides before but never a through detail that needs to line up.
FIY I did suggest a bandsaw to the contractor, but apparently it not accurate enough for the customer.
Any ideas

Thanks Brian

Stay away from this one. Your tool can't do unless you had a 12" z and a custom bit.

I've been able to do a couple things like this only because i have my table setup in the pictures. I have a foot travel over both ends also. First find out how much the job pays as to whether it justifies the purchase of a longer bit, then if you have any travel over the edge of your spoilboard, and the length cut you are going to have to make.

Then it may be possible you could attach it basically to the underside of your table. I could draw it out but find out first if it's worth the effort in pay.
