Hi,
I'm running and happy with Aspire 4.5, but I talked to Buddy the other day at ShopBot and he suggested that I cough up $450 to upgrade to Aspire 9. He said the 3d stock files it comes with are worth the cost alone.
So how do people like it?
And..
Is there any mountain landscape files and tree files you could send me to test out on my bot? I'm curious to see how the resolution and end product looks in person.
Thanks!!
Josh
I haven't heard of or seen 9, couldn't find it on the website
The selection is ok for 8 , the website normally showed what came with it - but I purchased an old gold bundle that's no longer available the resolution of all files are great because they are made for that very purpose of machining
As for free models - most of us paid a pretty penny for our collection outside of what came with it

Just to clarify a few things. Aspire is on version 8 at the moment. The upgrade from an older version is $400, you can enquire about an upgrade from this page - http://www.vectric.com/store/upgrades.html
You can read all about the new features, watch videos demonstrating them and download a PDF that details them and also has images of the new clipart from this page: http://www.vectric.com/products/aspire/whats-new/V8/WhatsNew.html
There is a decent amount of new clipart but the features we added also move a lot of areas of the software on, making many things easier and also adding nice features like the vector texture tool.
With regards to people sending you files to try, the license for the models that comes with Aspire does not allow the files to be shared.
Cheers,
James

Slant,
I am a small sign shop, and don't run my Bot a whole lot. I did the upgrade to version 8 just for the texture tool alone, but still have not used it on a job but it is very cool along with a lot of other features. I would do the upgrade if its in the budget. I decided I will always stay current on my Vectric Software.......Now my Flexisign software, I am a version behind and I use it all day every day. The thing is Vectric upgrades are reasonably priced and when they come out with upgrades there are usually new functions that really help. Flexisign comes out with upgrades seems like once a year and they start at $800 and the new functions aren't worth the money IMO.
