Run time error 13 Type Mismatch

Has anyone seen the error in the attachment while conecting a laptop windows 7 to a Shopbot Buddy BT48 for the first time?

Any suggestions?

I had to format and reinstall my laptop due to virus issues. When connecting to the shopbot windows recognizes it and loads drivers. Then SB3 asks me for which shopbot to load configuration, I select it and the screen comes up. A few seconds later the error comes up.

Found several reports of the error but all seem to be for a spindle where the fix is to delete a virtual tools folder in the registry. The only case where a router was involved the guy said he fixed it but didn't say how. :mad: :(

Got this problem fixed. When reinstalling windows in the laptop due to viruses it was done in spanish. Turns out a spanish "speaking" laptop doesn't communicate well with an english "speaking" shopbot.

Now I am back to the original problem, where laptop cannot comunicate with shopbot. :mad::confused::(:mad:
