Can you determine year of spindle by serial number?

I am looking at an HSD spindle, but I'm not sure how old it is. Does anyone know how to tell the year manufactured? I'm not concerned about the hours at this point, just the year.

My HSD was made in 2011, which is the first 4 digits engraved on the motor housing. Any numbers on yours?

Its either 0801 or 9801, for the first four numbers. Its not from my machine, it's just one I'm looking at.

is it in use now? If it has been setting for a long time you may have to replace the bearings. When they are stored you have to rotate them once a month according to the HSD.
