Up graded to aspire 8,,, this is my first 3-d toolpath after upgrade
I am cutting a profile, projecting the toolpath onto model. Material is 2 inches thick, my model is 1.84 thick.
But the toolpath is too low in the material,,, top of cut should be 3/16 or so from top of material....... I am stumped, what is not set right or what am I doing wrong.

I also have Aspire 8 and have experienced the same problem with some of the clip art. I set the depth to zero and the cut is still too deep. I am glad you are asking about this so that I can see how to correct it. Are you using Aspire clip art? If so, which piece? I can try it on my set up and see if I get the same results.

I am using a model I created,, I am cutting a model 1.84 thick from 2 inch material,, The most my bit should cut is .84 deep,,, but the created toolpath goes roughly 1.5 deep.

The 1.84 model sets on the bottom of the material.

I found the problem ,,, I think... When creating a 3-d toolpath from the profile option,, laying the toolpath on the model , I tried putting a value of 0 for start depth and cut depth and then created the toolpath,,, and it layed perfectly on my model

3d model with projected 2d toolpath...as you can see in photos the 3d cut depth, the projected 2d pocket toolpath cut depth and the requested projected 2d toolpath cut depth...

I often run into similar issue...to get toolpaths to cut proper depth I hover mouse over model to see cut depths then "trick" cut depth to be what is required depth
