losing connection

This started happening all of sudden. My shopbot buddy tables is losing connection and moving freely. The router head will move left and right. There is nothing wrong with the table. when i restart the controller it locks back in.

Are all your grounds clean and tight? Wire inside DC hose?
Does it do it if the DC is shut off during a longish aircut?
Did you change any wiring for large draw machines like compressors?
No thumbdrives left in USB, loose USB connection?
Just the first things that popped into my head if it were me.
