I try and keep my workshop clean, but the dust was starting to get to the keyboard of my control computer. I searched Amazon for a dust proof keyboard and found this. I thought it was pretty cool. Only $13 as well.

Typing on it is very similar to using a regular keyboard. I have noticed that you need to be positive about hitting the keys, you don't need to hit them hard or anything.

Now I just need to find a dust proof trackball ;)

We are so conditioned to the movement of the keystroke going up and down i don't know if i could get used to that. It looks cool though

I had no idea they had been around for so long. I'd never heard of it until it popped up in a search for dust proof keyboards on Amazon a couple weeks ago.

Been around for ages, used to keep one rolled up in my tech toolbox when I did onsite repairs in the 90's, lot easier to tote around than a regular keyboard. Back then quality wasn't the greatest, and I'd never use one on a primary computer, but on the control computer where don't type a lot would be fine, especially at that price. Right now I just run a vac over my keyboard when it looks dirty.
