Got a Looong 3D running and even though I Z Zeroed at what the Starrett said was the low spot, had to do a -.004 Z nudge for a "Flat spot".
(supposedly .015 below the surface already, but used a soft pad sanding)
WILL that Z nudge still be good for the second rep, as I stuck two reps in because of Maple "Fuzzies"?
Thanks for anyone awake...too burnt to search:(

Never mind.
Tricked Z down -.01" and started over with 2 smoke detectors within a foot and no DC, and shop door open 40' away.
Wonder if plate thickness got mucked up...check tomorrow.

The nudge stays. Really, it just moves the tool the amount chosen (down in your case) and sets the DRO back to what is was before the nudge. So, it has been readjusted and will stay that way until the next time you z zero with the plate again.

Thanks Scott!
Should have known you'd help:)
Would have saved me 3 hours.
At least I'm trusting Pause/Resume more now after avoiding it for so long because of 3.8.14 Oopsies.
Wound up doing 4 Nudges of -.002 ,2 minutes apart, before restarting with Z tricked -.01"
Darn thing is still cutting and just hit 2,000,400 lines of code.
Thanks!!
