Normally we do not offer those peices for sale to the public. They are Gallery peices only, and we do not list them on any site. they are one off The cheapest there is $2,500.00 WE had a heads up on possible orders from the State Department, for Decoratiuons for the new Governor..

those are about the only ons I could make. though I hate the idea of how many jigs it would take on a tables. or angled bits on the cnc.

For $2500.00 a pop i'd deal with it!!
Gene when you first started posting with your kitchen items, ect i thought that is a hard way to make a buck at $2,$5, ect at a time but you certainly have shown me what it takes to be successful. Good for you.
BTW have you got your big shop built for putting on classes yet?

Gene, I agree with myxpykalix, I thought you were mostly small items. The decoration pieces are really awesome. I do a few segmented bowls and have sold them as one offs but just recently starting talking to some consignment stores. A few have seen my bowls and have pushed me for years to sell them that way but I was still working full time for HP and just couldn't devote the time. I just retired effective the 1st of this month so I am now going to start producing more and most likely will approach them. I am going to the Aspire Camp in a couple of weeks but sometime this year I would love to come up and visit to possibly tap into your brain for ideas, you aren't that far away from me (Cleveland, TN).

those are about the only ons I could make. though I hate the idea of how many jigs it would take on a tables. or angled bits on the cnc. Each piece is hand cut the jig or pattern is carved with the cnc out of foam. as each piece is cut it is matched to the one it will be glued to. Then glue is applied and clamped in place with nail ect. This is one way I use up all of my scrap of wood. The ones that become vases and bowls are cut and glued into shape following a foam pattern. after the glue has dried the foam is removed and the project is put on a lathe to be turned. Takes longer doing the math to get each piece to fit correctly than anything.

I still make the bulk of my money from the Kitchen Items, I mass produce them and curently ship to 41 states and 3 countries, . I have had a huge rush on cutting boards.and some other products that I have not had time to finish the class room or the store. I had planned on finishing the class room from Jan. to April when it is normally slow. For some odd Reason this year it did not slow down and actually picked up.
For $2500.00 a pop i'd deal with it!!

Gene,
A thought for your segmented pieces, if you don't already know, there are 2 programs out that help with the design and math. I use both, woodturnerpro and segmented part planner (SPP). They have been a big help when I started out and I still use them.
Joe
Well... Those are some craftsmanship skills I will never have in my life time..
Outstanding products!
