I am looking for a way to change the speed of the x and y movement when I use the left/right buttons on my computer.
Hit K to get the keyboard control up and the you can move the carriage by using the left and right arrow keys.
I have been through all of the V and J settings I can find, and I can change the jog speed and other settings easily, but I can not find what changes that particular speed.
I use that function a lot and it sure would be nice to speed it up a bit.

Use "Shift and < or >" to change the move speeds on the fly.

While in keypad mode, move and jog speeds are limited to a default value based upon your machine config. You can enter a value in the "Speeds" fields in the console, but if it's higher than the default keypad values, it will be limited to the default. For example, on my Alpha, the values I've set for move and jog is at 5,2 and 20,5 and when the keypad is opened, they are temporarily changed to the upper defaults of 4,2 and 14,5. The values set in the console are only used when a J or M command is given or if running a file that has no speed values set. Speed values set in a file temporarily override the console values and when the file is finish, they revert back.
If you want to make your Keypad motion a bit more snappy, adjust the keypad ramp rate in VR. 0.2 is the default, try 0.15 or 0.14.

I did that and it made it a little bit better. I guess you would have to go in to the code for the SB3 program to change speeds then
