Please see picture. 4 months ago my original router (5 years running) burned while working, it was having trouble cutting through material. Had it rebuilt and bought another router. New router burned suddenly. Now I got trouble using rebuilt router. I am suspecting something is damaging the routers but don't know what it may be.

I cut 3/4 OSB exclusively. I was leaving cutting bit (3/8 compression) for 150 sheets. No problem until now.

Thinking it could be a the bits were no longer sharp enough, I replaced it but still have the problem. See picture attached. First pass (run 2 3/8 deep passes) is cut almost complete but then movement gets stuck with the result you see.

Any suggestions from anyone?

I can only contribute this:

the only times I have had my bot lose track of its coordinates was cutting through very hard material, corian, maple, sometimes oak. It was only on profile cuts that I had trouble. bought better bits, specifically for corian from onsrud, and have not had the problem since. It appears you are doing profile cuts, maybe call onsrud tech support and have them recommend a bit specific to your needs and give it a spin.

Just out of curiosity how long has it been since you:
1. Changed your pinion gears?
2 Greased your racks?
3. Verified your gears were tight on the shafts?
4. Checked all assembly bolts for tightness?
5. Checked your gantry for squareness x/y axis squareness?
5. Made sure your ground was still hooked up in all locations correctly?
6. checked your motor connections both at the motors and at the control board?
7. Tried to move your gantry and Y while the power was on (checking both sides on x)?

There are a lot of things that could cause what you have going on. First go through the whole maintenance program.
You could even have a bad x driver.
