96 x 48 prtalpha, I'm up and somewhat running!
My spindle turns on with the keyboard #1 output and I can run around cutting with the keyboard commands, but when i switch to the console control window the spindle shuts off. I want to run the (cr)cut rectangle to surface my table.

Noob alert! I'm sure it's something simple.

thanks,
RB

Press the "K" key , flip up #1 switch with your mouse then press the Start button on the side of the controll box.

Stephan, I'm able to do that already, the problem is to give the CR command the keyboard window shuts down. When the keyboard window shuts down the spindle turns off.

Randy,

As Stephan stated, flip on switch one or use Alt-1. After you close the keypad, do your CR and once you have all the parameters filled in, hit start. The software will then ask you to push the start button on the control box to start the spindle and then hit enter to start cutting.

thanks Scott, looks like I need to push on with it. I was concerned it wouldn't ask me to turn the spindle back on before it shot across the table.

I had the same issue. got to hit that start button on every move command too. I wish there was some command to turn on the spindle.

If the post processor in your cam program doesn't do it, or if you're making your own files, SO,1,1 (on) and SO,1,0 (off).

From the keyboard, Alt-1 (on/off).

hitting the start button did the trick...yea I feel @#$%, that will not be the last time I'm sure. Thanks for the help all.

Can't believe I got so excited watching the table being surfaced...I waited two years for that!
