Cabinet-grade MDF supplier online or in Research Triangle NC area? [Archive]

I'm pretty frustrated in my search for a supplier of decent MDF (stuff that mills well, weight not an issue) either in my area or online. Does anyone have any advice? I've talked to a couple of places in the area, but really don't need the quantities that justify going through a full credit check with references to get an account with them.

I did finally find a site that looked great (McFadden's), but they are based in Canada and don't ship to the U.S.

Wurth in Raleigh is where I've gone. Open to public for purchase from 8 to 1 (M-F) They don't have pickup after 1PM as that is when the are prepping the next day pickup. I never setup an account w/ the credit/reference check, I just went in and bought what I need.

Thanks! I'll try to get over there in the next couple of days. Do you need to order the day before you pick up, or can I just just purchase and take it back immediately?

I've called ahead the day before to make sure they have it in stock and then went in and paid for it and took it back that day.

horizon forestry product has the best mdf, both premium and select. their in Raleigh around the corner from wurth. not to mention they are less$.

Interesting, I'd seen them before but based on their website they looked like they only carried hardwood flooring products, so I've never checked them out.
