I "inherited" my daughters 10 year old chihuahua who has neck problems so anytime she jumps off the bed or lazyboy she yelps and walks around in pain. I have to get her "painkillers" up at the vet but i said let me design a set of stairs that is 3 ft tall, 4 ft long and 1 ft wide with 4in rise on the stairs she can now walk up and down without pain.

It doubles as "catstairs" too.I got it in the backdoor and the cat had to try it out first.

Fabulous idea! I hope you don't have to add a chihuahua-sized chair lift when the dog gets older....

With a little thought, you could have made her an escalator…

Hey, don't laugh but my original thought was to make a large box "elevator" that she walked into and rode up and down but i couldn't figure out how to teach her to push the buttons for up and down! After all it's like they say..."you can't teach an old dog new tricks".
