I dont get to cut something for me that often. I am a pig when it comes to wasting wood, especially black walnut. This was cut from scraps and will go on my nightstand, because the mantle is full of stuff. Its 20 inches long by 14 inches tall and 3.4 inches thick and weighs close to 15 lbs. Its not really finished yet but not a lot will change. I used aspire 8.5 and 3 3-d components to design http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=29545&stc=1it.

Neat how scrap turns into beauty when craftsmanship and good tools come together.

i have a good tool (a shopbot buddy) but the word craftsmanship may be wasted on me. Its just that sometimes i get lucky. But thanks. In looking around my storage shed i have about 30 pieces of scraps..........you never throw away scraps. But it was the first time that i ever glued two pieces together to create a thick project.
