File already exists

New to the shopbot. When I try to run a file, any one, I get an error message that tells me the file already exists and then everything shuts down. Software, not the machine itself. I decided to try the typesetter and it whirs and moves but it writes all of the text in a 2 inch by 2 inch square. I have been using rigid foam to practice with to save the bits. I have a buddy 32. I've been in touch with tech support and have had user help me and each time something positive came of it but still having problems. If I tell it to cut a circle or square it does that but won't run a program.
