I finally got to try out the diamond drag bit I got from the ShopBot store. I engraved my logo onto a sheet of 1/32" thick pewter, pocketed some walnut and epoxied the pewter into the walnut. It is sized to fit into a 2 1/4" hole I will route into my cabinetry.

This was prompted after a discussion with one of my clients as to whether I signed my worked. I figured that if they can put a sticker on every single banana they sell in the grocery store, then I should be able to put my logo onto a set of my cabinets ;)

In the pictures, the lines of text are really squiggly. Not sure why that is. The text on the logos looks fine. I don't think I had a bunch of extra nodes as I created the text in Aspire. Maybe it is just inherent to the action of the diamond drag bit?

Nice touch Keith!
When we were doing buttons...at our first trade show, 3 custom woodworkers inquired about making "medallions" to be inset into their larger pieces.
I don't know if anything came of it, as Dad gave that company to the 3 workers last July with the second Desktop for their sweat equity:)
They were using branding irons, and probably still are.
Yours has more class:)

Thanks, Scott. I still have a lot of refinement to do in order to match the quality of your buttons. Medallions. That's the word I was looking for!

I'm constantly amazed at the possibilities that have been opened up by having the ShopBot in my workshop.
