Noisey Stepper Motor

Anyone have any idea why my z stepper gets loud sometimes? Other times its nice and smooth and sometimes it gets loud. I am running it at the same move and jog speeds all the time. Sounds like:
BA-WER-WER-WER-WER. Maybe something binding in the linear guides?

I have traced the problem back to the Gecko driver. After checking for loosed connections I then came back to the driver. I don't think its a great idea to do what I did, but while the stepper was running I gave the driver a little wiggle and the intermittent noise came back. No other channel showed this problem from slight wiggling of the driver until I moved the "bad boy" driver to that channel. Just thought I would put this up in case this happens to anyone else.
