I'm evaluating a demo of SprutCAM 11 for 3 and 4 axis toolpathing. The supplied ShopBot post processor is very old and is now non-functional - something is wrong in the cut circle translations used for ramping into material. Before I dive in and track down/fix the problem, does anyone have a working ShopBot PP for SprutCAM? Would you be willing to share the PP?

Thanks, Ed

Not to derail your search, but why SprutCAM in the first place?

In general, PP's are supplied with the software. Ask Sprutcam.

The age of the pp shouldn't make much difference. When you say cut circle and ramping into the material, are you talking of an arc in the xz or yz? This isn't supported and it needs to interpolated with many short segments (M3's) instead of arcs (CG's). An example of the processed cut file would help to see what the error in the code is and where to address it in the pp.

Did find an arcs toggle in the general SprutCAM v11 post setup that fixed the original circle translation issue. After much testing and many emails to SprutCAM America tech support, they confirmed this supplied ShopBot post processor can fail to generate toolpath machine moves. To date, this has not be resolved/fixed.

As to why SprutCAM, am looking for CAM software that can import 3D solid models from SpaceClaim and generate advanced toolpathing for both ShopBot and Tormach at a reasonable cost. It's a no go with SprutCAM. BobCAD is out. Am currently evaluating OneCNC.
