I have 2 recent acquisitions, ready to be customized for their new Owners. These are British made, laboratory/educational grade fully enclosed, small format, high precision tabletop CNC machines made for small projects, PCB milling, etc.

These came from an educational setting with light use and are a welcome addition to "honest Gary's used CNC lot". The fully welded steel and polycarbonate safety enclosures contain dust and noise. The larger machine has a brush fitted opening for pass thru of longer material.

There are vacuum ports for both dustfoot and hold down. Limit switches on the X, Y and Z and Exterior mounted Estop. Door switches are optional.

Each will come with brand new control system, new SB controller cards, in the purchasers name and a year warrantee.

The small one with a PC router and nema 23 steppers will be in the $2900 range (110v ac) and the larger one with vac hold down, 1.5kw spindle (220 v ac) and NEMA23 closed loop motors will be in the $4900 range. Any and all features supported by SB3 software can be added by the purchaser. Will build to suit.

The smaller machine is SOLD!! It's going to be off to it's new home at a fabrication shop in Chicago. The 4th ShopBot in their shop that turns raw materials into dollars.

A note here for those that wonder about these things. Yes, you can put ShopBot control on nearly anything!

Last peek at the small machine before it ships out. Had a few wires and 3 switches to replace along with the new control system and adapter to a ShopBot controller card. I made a short video for the owner and decided to post it on my YouTube page.

Remember: there is usually a way to make nearly any machine you want run on whichever control software you wish.

A few progress pics on the larger machine. Pulled the motion frame from the cabinet, cleaned lubed all components. I am waiting on some plum couplers as the spiral type wont take the torque of the new motors. Adding dual drive to the X axis. The closed loop motors would not fit inside the cabinet, so I used a high torque lower cost motors.

Got the spindle mount machined and in place. Next weeks work is to wire motors and new limit switches then get the motion frame back into the cabinet to allow a new control box to be installed. It will come to life shortly! Put a deposit down and select any/all options you desire.

Got a little more done on the larger machine. Up and running, spindle and dustboot in place. New motors are pretty snappy!

I've had a number of emails regarding this machine. Yes, if you wish, the control computer, (Win7 Pro) flex keyboard mouse and 22" LED monitor can be purchased with the machine. Complete, tested, ready to run.
