Yesterday I let the dust skirt on my Alpha droop a little too far and watched the Y-Carriage jump off of the X-rail. Not a pleasant sight.
After reinstalling the Y-carriage, re-aligning everything and checking for square, I re-installed the dust skirt, this time as high as it would go. Dust collection is a little worse, but the machine will probably live a little longer.
