Guys and Gals
I have been cutting using a Shopbot for a number of years now. I started with a used PRT, then a PRS and now a PRS Alpha... ABout 1.5 years ago, I bought a machine that was very customized by Gary Campbell, from his days when he worked for ShopBot. I love this machine. I love its accuracy. I love its ability to cut metals. It has a mister that lubes the metal as it is being cut, as well. It is an amazing machine. The problem? I never use it. I am using my 5 x 10' PRS Alpha a bunch- but not this smaller machine that is intended to be swift and accurate. SO: I am going to part with it. It will come set up and with a large number of bits. It has its own on-board computer that Gary personally stripped out and set up. Gary also set up a number of programmed commands for zeroing and warm up, etc. Will have a digitizing probe with it, plus a widget works small part foot, and hundreds of dollars in bits. A bench clamp to hold onto parts that need a vice. It will come with toggle clamps to put into the slotted bed, to hold bigger parts. If you are going to be doing aluminum, brass, copper and other components- if you want to make SMOOTH aluminum molds, if you want to to get excellent 3D cuts... this is your machine. It is HEAVY. I can load onto your trailer to move. You will need 220V power for this one and all converting is done on the machine for the computers, etc. You will also need a compressor for the air puffer that helps cool bits. (Low volume. Modest pressure. so a small compressor would be sufficient. It is not necessary, but it is there for you already) And of course there is the "mister" for cooling the cuts in metals. Comes with a 2HP spindle mounted. Is set up with a second Spindle/drill or accessory position already installed... See the links for a visual on this machine and some previous discussions about it. Machine is located in Georgetown, TX.
This will not come with a copy of Aspire. If you need one, we all know ShopBot can sell you one for a reasonable sum.

I am setting a $15,000 price for this machine. ( I paid Neville a good bit more than that, and I think he was doing me a solid favor when he sold it to me. When you see what it is set up to do- you will agree. And it will take up a small corner of your shop and repay you with beautiful beautiful parts. Especially for those of you who do metals! Email me with inquiries.
