Maximum Cut Depth for Tapered upspiral Ball Bit in Birch Plywood.

Can anyone give a recommendation for maximum cut depth for a tapered 2 flute upspiral ball bit into a Birch Plywood Sheet?

I attached an image of the type of cuts I'm trying to make with this tapered bit. The overall slot depth is about 3/8". Is it recommended to make a cut this deep in one pass with a tapered bit that is roughly a 1/16" wide at its tip and tapered at about 4 degrees? I'm more accustom to calcing the depth of cut with a straight bit and in this scenario I try not to exceed the depth of the bit diameter. Not sure how that logic would inform this scenario. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't go full depth with that bit. I'd do 1/8th passes, 2.5IPS to start at 12-14K RPM

Just because it's got flutes all the way up doesn't mean it can cut any material in a pass that's as deep as the flutes.

I'm with Eric on this one. In fact, depending on the material and since the tip is 0.0625" diameter, I may be even a little more conservative.

Looking to bend the ply?
If that is your purpose you can make the bending kerfs a lot quicker with a saw.
