Used to be lots of good stuff here. Seems like a ghost town now. Kind of sad!

Yup, seems like a ghost town now. While I am not very active in posting I read this forum everyday....

Lots of people selling their ShopBots and moving to more modern CNC machines. Unfortunately, ShopBot has fallen way behind the technology curve in the CNC world. Kinda sad....

Would be nice if people showed more projects.....even if plain vanilla stuff!
I've been quiet as I pulled my Desktop "Swiss Cheese" Bill Young's "Wedging top" with inserts...and because I used cheapo MDF as a substrate...after 5 yrs it de-lamed on 0,0 corner:(
Should have just made a new one with HDO or BB Ply with MDF cutting surface glued on....but now cutting maple inserts to be epoxied.....lazy and other stuff to do is my excuse.

Unfortunately some people selling as I had to do when suddenly poor in 2003....some selling to go smaller as retirement and sheet goods no longer need.
STILL consider Desktop results equal or better for accuracy and detail on smalls and tinys!! Accuracy and repeatability are still fantastic on our 2 2013-2014 machines:) :)
JUST gave a Tiny 3D away today....and he went to car for his camera for a close-up....and asked me to bring some others to front door for pics:)
Desktops(especially older one piece frames) are built like tanks!

I haven't posted project photos much lately. One reason is that there is usually little or no responses. My take is that hardly anyone cares enough to even leave a comment. Maybe no one is looking. Maybe there are very few active members on this forum. Without replies you can only guess why.
The Vectric forum has much more activity.

I agree Phil,
Can't remember exactly when I started posting stuff on Vectric Forum first.....instead of first posting here....but less response was primary reason.
Vectric IS a bigger forum, so more responses makes sense.
It is sad Forum is so quiet!
I remember Forum help when I first started was Invaluable!!

Ryan's "Beginner" class for Newbies had 30+ brand new owners when I popped in yesterday....so people are still buying:)
Think I'll post more when spoilboard is fixed up and in place again.

I make stuff all the time but rarely is it "fantastic" enough to show here. So many folks turn out spectacular works of art. I just make stuff.

Why does it have to be fantastic? Show us what you are doing. I have a folder of "Project Ideas" that are from this forum and Vectric. By far most of them are not "fantasic". I save them because I like what I've seen and I've made some of them.
