Hey Kyle:)
The desktop bearing blocks...right?

I pretty religiously oiled my rails and wipers about every 40 hrs.
Originally used wheelchair(sewing machine) oil, but 3-in-1 now with no difference.

Radio button set at 0,0 and 24,18 and then place 3 drops in groove, and then press radio buttons to cycle it evenly, then wipe excess off on the whole rail.
Z-rail I lower it down all the way, oil at top in both grooves, give oil a chance to go down rain, and then cycle a couple times.

Try that and see if excess oil on X or Y is discolored rusty?

I've only ever had the Zs off to the the 5.5" Z retrofit.
Mine the grease looked good, but the Northern machine we had to take back had been serviced with WD-40 and all the bearing fell off the Z-blocks unlike mine.
Had to repack those bearings with Phil Wood(sealed bearing bicycle grease) , and last time I checked with the person sold to it was great.
WD-40 pretty much broke down the original grease.

Also ala Brady,Never cleaned the bearing wipes off CLOSELY with 90psi.

With the wheelchair bearings here, if I get rusty oil coming out of bearings, cleaning a couple times is OK, BUT I order new bearings up!

Good luck Kyle, those bearing blocks ain't cheap I hear.
