I was cutting a 6 file project and after the 2nd file when I reached to turn off the router I could hear the motors trying to make steps. The carriage was moving slightly (more like a bump actually). This stopped when I turned off the router. I unhooked ground wires alternately and together-did not help. Took router out of bay-turned it on and had no bumps, touched router casing to frame-got bumps. Hooked up another PC router and got the same thing. If ANYONE HAS ANY THOUGHTS please call me at 1-888-390-0719 (toll free), naturally this is a job that should have been done yesterday. I will be here till about 6:30 CT and back in the morning at about 7:30 CT.

THANK YOU

Hi Frank,

We'll try and get up with you today. Might help if you could email a little data to our support@shopbottools.com (mailto:support@shopbottools.com) mailbox. Attach the PROBLEM.LOG file that you'll find in the Sb200 folder on your ShopBot computer ... it has diagnostic info that is sometimes helpful. Also, I'm away from the database today, so if you could include your date of purchase and the best time after 11am to get you near the tool ...

After finding a solution to our problem I started thinking about the other pieces of equipment in the shop and wondering how many would have gotten a response to an SOS on a Saturday?

Could not find any!

THANK YOU Mr. Ted Hall for taking time on the weekend to help and THANK YOU Mr. Bill Polumbo for your suggestions.

On the subject of superb support,
a friend of mine imparted a small "pearl of wisdom" handed down to him by his father:
You're better off having a second-rate(inexpensive) machine with first-class service&support,
- than a first rate machine with second-class service&support.
ShopBot's support is just about second to none,
and because of that I suspect they shall enjoy much popularity and years of continued success supplying inexpensive CNC machines to average guys like me and you.
