Does anybody have a set of ramp values that really make the 5hp Colombo sing?
I'm not having much success with the Shopbot default settings when cutting elipses or sharp angle transitions, getting a lot of gantry shudder and bounce.
Thanks!

Boyd,
I am currently running close to the default speeds with my 5HP Colombo. I use .95XY and .45Z.
They seem to be the best speeds for my 5X16 with 2 tools on the Z.

I was getting shudder & 'slamming' at the extents of the toolpath at 3IPS and .85 ramping on the XY. Contrary to what I would believe, .75 was worse and .95 seemed a little better.

Thanks Brady, I'll give it a try, but I would still like to hear from others that have "tweaked"
the setup.

Actually...I stand corrected...I am running at .75XY and .45Z ramping. Just checked late last night when running a file.
