Hi there,

First of all, I am a new PRStandard buddy 32 owner and have been fiddling with my new toy for the last 3 weeks.

I'm getting familiar with most basic functions and did the air cuts and all. My problem is that when I try to design something in 2D partworks, I get this error message 100% of the time when I try to save the toolpath. "an invalid argument was encountered".

I've reinstalled the software, checked the help files, but to avail. It happens with the tutorial files as well so it's not my part file. I've contacted shopbot about this but have had no response on this issue.

It is version 2.015. Anyone else running this version and have experienced this problem before?

Thanks,

Rudy

Rudy,

Doing a search for this error on the Vectric forum, I found a response from Vectric to verify your Post Processor directory has post processor files in it and you are using the correct post processor when saving your toolpath to disk.

A possible post processor problem would show up with both the tutorial files and your designs.

Here is a link to the thread. It's about another Vectric produced product, but I would assume the error would imply the same issue with any of their programs:

http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2755&p=17919&hilit=invalid+arg ument+was+encountered#p17919 (http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2755&p=17919&hilit=invalid+arg ument+was+encountered#p17919)

If this doesn't help, I recommend a phone call to ShopBot and ask to talk with their software expert.

wow, you hit the target right on. For some reason, the post processor files were missing in my default directory. Found them eventually, and simply placed them back in the default location. I never would have figured that out.

You have my thanks, this has been bugging me for a week.
