Just sent this email to support. Could use some help until they get back to me. All axis moving at half the distance. I'm thinking it's some corruption in a config file.

I have a PRTAlpha 48x96. Currently running 3.6.10 of the control software. I just updated to it to see if the new control software would fix my problem.

Was running 3.6.1. System was working fine Sunday. Turned on my system today and all axis is moving half the distance. I have checked the Unit Values and they are set correctly. 1273.2395 for X, Y, Z and A. 4 for the Resolution Multiple. Have used UR to reset. When I uninstall the old control software I renamed the shopbot.ini in the Program Files directory and the Application Data\Shopbot directory. I renamed the SBparts and Program Files\Shopbot\Shopbot 3 directories.

My motors are not sounding like they normally do when moving.

What have I missed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Andy;
I have had the same "half size" gremlin. Tech support had me reload the config file and it worked fine. Never found the cause & it only happened 2 times in a 3 day period then not again for over 3 months. I am guessing static or power surge as we had a lot of thunder storms when it happened.

Andy,

If you updated your Alpha-step drivers with that firmware upgrade that we discussed at Bob's shop in June, then remember that your unit values will not be the default numbers.

I don't have those updated numbers close at hand, but can look them up if you don't have the documentation that came with the driver update cable.

John,
You are da' man. That was it. I was changing my ramping setting to cut some 3D stuff. I was looking at a post on saving the 3D settings and reloading the default settings. I reloaded the default setting for the PRTAlpha, totally forgetting about the new settings.
