I am setting up my, new to me, ShopBot. Of course, I have made several changes. The old windows 98 computer was missing files and it could not find any part files, so I installed SB on a newer computer running windows ME and upgraded the control box, and SB to version 2.39.
Everything appears fine but I can't get the machine to move or cut. I disconnected all the motors and pushed each axis to make sure there was no binding. I reconnected everything and rebooted. I can here the motors attempting to move it but nothing happens. I also need to input my unit values from the old computer but it shows a lot of numbers that are not labeled. I think I have an x and y value but don't see a z value.
Thanks
Heather

Call Shopbot direct, they can give you the specific values you need to input. It sounds like that might be the problem.

Make sure you are in the move cut mode and not the preview mode. That drove me crazy trying to figure it out.
